Facilities and Equipment

The Performing 艺术 Center is named in honor of Dr. Richard F. 桑德拉·L. Giese in recognition of their exceptional service to the University from 2005 to 2015. The Gieses were at the forefront of the effort to provide enhanced and expanded space for the performing arts at Mount Union and were instrumental in making the dream for a center for the performing arts a reality. 

The Center houses the Department of Performing 艺术 and includes the Art Gallery, 黑盒子剧院, Cope Music Hall and Performance Hall in addition to a 图书馆, 演奏厅, 绿色的房间, 现场购物, costume shop and dressing rooms.

Brush Performance Hall - The proscenium-style Performance Theatre offers seating for 450 on its lower level and in its balcony. The acoustically-significant, state-of-the-art space can host events of varied natures including vocal, instrumental and theatrical performances.

Presser Recital Hall - Dedicated to Theodore Presser, a former Mount Union student and professor. The three-manual organ in the 演奏厅 is the gift of the Kulas Foundation.

Cope Music Hall Electronic Keyboard and Computer Classroom

Keyboard and Computer Lab - A complete keyboard laboratory of 12 Roland electronic pianos is located in the music theory area, adjacent to a computer laboratory. The Department of Performing 艺术 facility includes a state-of-the-art MIDI synthesizer/computer laboratory.

Dewald教堂

Dewald教堂 - The first free-standing Chapel in Mount Union history, the Dewald教堂 was made possible by a lead gift from Dr. 唐纳德和夫人. Eleanore (Iman '38) Dewald. The Chapel includes a sanctuary, 24-hour meditation room, conference and meeting rooms for religious life programs and offices.

Gallaher Theatre - A black box multipurpose space can host an array of events including improv theatre, 圆形剧场, small music ensemble recitals, 舞蹈表演, and other entertainment events as well as banquets and receptions.
